Refund Policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

1. Purchases on the App Store or Google Play

Apple and Google process these payments, so refunds are decided by them under their policies:

You can also email us first with your receipt and we will help where we can.

2. Website purchases

Website payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, so approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.

3. Refunds we always provide

  • Duplicate or mistaken charges: a full refund of the extra charge.
  • Any charge made after you cancelled a website plan: a full refund of that charge.
  • Periods in which paid features were unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault: a pro-rata refund.

4. What is not refundable

Except as stated above or where the law requires otherwise: first payments and automatic renewal payments, the unused part of a period after you cancel (you keep access until it ends), and accounts suspended for breaking our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms. Search results depend on what is public, so finding little or no information about a person is not, on its own, a reason for a refund; tell us anyway and we will review it.

To avoid a renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date; see How to cancel.

5. Your statutory rights

This policy does not limit your rights under consumer law. EU/EEA and UK consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for website purchases, as described in our Subscription Terms. A refund may be reduced in proportion to the service already provided if you asked for immediate access, as the law permits.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can usually resolve it faster. If a chargeback is filed, we may share purchase and account records with the payment processor and your bank.
